One (beach) a day … keeps the stress away!

The islands of Antigua and Barbuda are an ideal destination for anyone wishing to spend a holiday away from the daily routine and, above all, relaxing on tropical beaches bathed by the waters of a crystal clear sea full of underwater wonders to be admired through diving or snorkelling. Of the two, Antigua in particular holds the scepter of one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, thanks to its unspoilt natural conformation that lives luxuriantly alongside wonderful expanses of soft, white sand of paradisiacal charm. But what are the most beautiful beaches in Antigua?

The answer is easy according to Dr. Dario Item, who serves as Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the Kingdom of Spain, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Principality of Monaco. Ambassador Dario Item knows every corner of this paradise on earth and considers his island as the ideal place to spend a truly unforgettable holiday. We can, however, first of all choose when to go and then try to select some of the most interesting and beautiful beach areas of this splendid pearl of the Caribbean to try to outline some useful advice for a holiday made up of both absolute rest and fantastic experiences in close contact with the purest and most amazing nature of the entire planet.

In order to try to understand where to go to spend a peaceful and serene holiday in Antigua, we should try to discover which are its most beautiful beaches and draw up an ideal itinerary that allows us to fully enjoy the beauty of this unique island.

Going in random order Ambassador Dario Item suggests we should begin with the most partiular beaches in Antigua, that is definitely Jolly Harbour.

Literally covered in colourful shells (generally ranging from white to pink), Jolly Harbour welcomes tourists in the best possible way thanks to the charm of the glittering that this immense natural carpet shows to the eyes of anyone who comes close to such a marvel. Ambassador Dario Item says that this absolute splendour is found above all on the North Beach of Jolly Harbour: here the atmosphere is very relaxed and guarantees an absolutely peaceful stay made up of both pure beach life and excursions to discover the surrounding natural splendours.

Generally speaking, Jolly Harbour is never overcrowded and the sea is almost always calm, where you can take a relaxing swim in front of a literally breathtaking Caribbean panorama, including forests full of colourful, fragrant flowers.

According to Ambassador Dario Item, Jolly Harbour’s South Beach also has nothing to envy, thanks to the presence of extremely soft and delicate white sand, but among the most beautiful beaches in Antigua there is also, without a doubt, that of English Harbour. Here, in fact, the panoramic view of the area is decidedly postcard-perfect, made up of immense expanses of white sand and turquoise water in which splendid palm trees are reflected, practically framing everything.
